Amazon Prime Day officially begins on July 12 and lasts until the 13th, but the first offers are already being made to the retailer and its competitors. For example, several Google products on Amazon and retailers like Target are on sale right now, from Chromecast With Google TV to Nest Cams. Know that some of these items might see more discounts on Prime Day itself, but they are still solid deals.
Check out our Amazon Prime Day coverage for more deals before the big sale event. Our Prime Day shopping tips will help you find out if a deal is worth your time and money.

Offers of bells and security cameras
The Nest video bell is our second choice, after Arlo’s Essential simply because it’s more expensive. This offer coincides with the cheapest we have seen in recent months. It is easy to assemble and easy to remove for charging (the battery lasts more than a month). Smart notifications identifying faces and packages are also accurate, but you’ll need a Nest Aware subscription ($ 6 a month). You can also find this offer at Best Buy.
Do you need an indoor security camera? This simple camera has a sleek look, can be mounted and has no battery, meaning you will need to plug it in. (Also, you should never load it). WIRED comment editor Julian Chokkattu has had one. pointed to its front door over the past year and has had a good experience with it, although subscribing to Nest Aware will expand your video history. This deal is not uncommon, but it is still good. This offer is also available on Target.
This security camera works the same as the previous indoor camera, except that it runs on battery power and can withstand rain, wind and snow. It has a 130-degree field of view and a 1080p video, which WIRED senior associate editor Adrienne So says showed clear views of its driveway, front door and even most of its front yard. . The battery should be charged after a little over a month. This offer is also available on Target. There is also a two-pack for sale for $ 250 ($ 80 discount) or a 4-pack for $ 490 ($ 170 discount).
If you plan to monitor a dark, desolate area, this camera is functionally similar to the previous Nest Cam, but it doesn’t drain the battery and has two projectors on either side. The lights can be turned on automatically, such as when the camera detects motion, or you can set a schedule or your voice to turn it on. This offer is also available on Target.
Offers telephone, laptop and speakers
We like the Google Pixel 6 Pro (9/10, WIRED Recommends) because it has a spectacular camera system, with a great 4x optical zoom camera, a sharp 120 Hz refresh rate with an AMOLED panel and many useful smart software functions. powered by Google’s Tensor processor. Oh, and a battery that usually lasts a whole day. The phone has had a lot of bugs, but many of the issues have now been fixed. Just know that the Pixel 7 Pro is coming to an end this year.
If you’re looking for a new Android phone, most people should go for the Pixel 6. It’s a small deal, but it’s amazing value. Get a 90 Hz AMOLED display, wireless charging, the same powerful Tensor processor and a great dual camera system.
This is Google’s first-generation wireless charger, not the newer second-generation version. It will charge well any device with wireless charging support, in horizontal or vertical orientation. If you put a Pixel phone in it, you get some additional benefits, such as ambient lighting that mimics sunrise, a digital photo frame function, and quick access to smart home controls. Read our guide to the best wireless chargers for more options.
Google’s Nest Audio (8/10, cable recommendations) is one of our favorite smart speakers. This is the price of the typical offer to which it is reduced during the main sales events. Nest Audio is the successor to the original 2016 Google Home, which offers deeper bass and louder sound for better music playback. Of course, it works with the Google Wizard, so you can ask for anything you type in the Google search bar. The combination of two creates a solid stereo system. There is a physical switch to turn off the microphone, which we appreciate. This offer is also available at Walmart.
The Nest Mini is the cheapest, smallest and smallest version of Nest Audio. It doesn’t sound that good, but it’s a great little speaker for small areas of the home where you want to use your voice to control your smart home devices. You can mount it to the wall (as long as there is a power outlet nearby).
If you can do all your work from the Chrome browser, a Chromebook may be all you need. This Pixelbook Go is getting a little old, but it’s still one of our favorite Chromebooks and has worked perfectly. The screen is sharp, the keyboard is lovely and this Core i5 model is very powerful for most.
Smart screen deals and routers
This router drops frequently at this price, but ranges up to $ 169, so it’s still a solid deal. Nest Wifi is easy to set up, looks stylish and creates a reliable mesh network in your home. This offer is for the router only, but you can add a Nest point to expand coverage, this package is $ 149 ($ 120 off) (also available on Target). Already have a router but want to add the point? It’s also on sale for $ 95 ($ 55 off). Read our guide to the best mesh routers for more recommendations.
This is a fairly common arrangement in this smart thermostat. We haven’t thoroughly reviewed this exact version, but we do have a guide on how to confirm compatibility and set it up. If you like how Google manages your smart home, we think you’ll like it. The offer is also available at Target and Best Buy. The new Nest Thermostat is also on sale for $ 100 ($ 30 off). You don’t learn or adapt to your habits, but you can still set schedules.
Technically, this is an offer, but the Nest Hub Max (8/10, cable recommendations) has a discount at this price so often that you should never buy it at full price. This version has a camera if you want to use it to make video chats. It’s a useful companion, as you can see your security camera (if the camera supports it), guide you through cooking instructions, or simply act as a digital photo frame.
The Nest Hub without camera is also on sale. This one has a 7-inch screen as opposed to the Nest Hub Max’s 10-inch screen, making it more ideal for small spaces like bedrooms. This second generation model can also detect your sleep habits in case you want to make sure you are arriving seven hours every night (no need to wear it). See our guide to the best smart screens for more details.
