4 Simple Ways to Amplify What You Offer

As brands and creators compete to capture the attention of their audience, the ability to stand out among competitors becomes a marathon and a competition of who can survive whom. Through my agency, I have worked with clients from many industries and been able to identify four simple ways in which my agency helped leverage the “basics” to find clients’ success at a relatively low cost. I challenge you to implement these basics and find out how successful your small business or personal offering is.

1. You need a website

As technology continues to evolve and the race for attention becomes more of a struggle, small businesses, thought leaders, and digital creators should own their own space on the Internet, which serves as the main center of attention. information and authority for what they offer.

Owning a website helps to build brand awareness and increase authority as it serves as the official online hub for what you offer. With more than a handful of services, you can sign up today to quickly create a website, even with little or no experience, there is no excuse for not having your space on the internet. Some of my favorite platforms for quickly creating a website include Shopify, WordPress, and Squarespace for their ease of use, as well as their template and plugin libraries. With these platforms, you can easily create simplistic personal websites, insightful blogs, and powerful e-commerce storefronts. These platforms check the boxes on most websites and can scale with your success.

Your website should serve as the main source of information for your offer, and the information you include on your website may be different. A small business should include a physical address where applicable, inventory (if applicable) and contact information. A digital creator or thought leader should include their contact information, social media identifiers, general analysis, and a mention of the brands you’ve worked with in the past.

2. Be easy to find

Now that you have a website where you can showcase your business or personal offer, what’s next? Make your offer easy to find on the Internet. Take a moment to look at how your business looks on the Internet, and ask yourself if it’s difficult to find out what search results your offer is. Check your contact information and operating hours for incorrect posting. Do all of your social networks handle the same social media platforms that you use? Avoid using long, complex social identifiers that include numbers, underscores, and other special characters that make it difficult for your audience to know if this is your profile or not.

Consider using a profile picture and color theme that is consistent with your social media accounts. Small businesses should consider using their logo or something that represents their brand. Digital creators and thought leaders should consider using a professional head photograph with a colored background that matches their personality.

Be easy to find, your business depends on it.

3. Become an authority within your niche

Your website is live and ready for traffic, it took you a while to review and refine your brand presentation. Now you are ready to become an authority within your niche.

Personally, I recommend starting blog posts on your website. Any of the DIY platforms I mentioned above offer a blogging feature and, when written well enough, can help drive free traffic to your website. After writing a handful of blog posts on your website, I encourage you to contribute to other blogs and posts that align with your offering. Posting guests in other posts will allow you to share your expert opinions with others and capture a larger audience by doing so. Over time and the continued reciprocity of knowledge with your audience, you or your business will become an authority within your niche.

4. Consider branded digital assets

Think of a time when you interacted with your favorite brand, creator, or artist online using branded digital assets. Does your favorite brand have branded GIFs that you can use? What about brand story filters? These elements allow your audience to interact with your offering that is familiar, fun, and engaging. Personally, I created two simple GIFs for Linq magazine in the popular GIF database, Giphy, which have garnered 130,000 collective views. Implementing branded digital assets such as GIFs and story filters allows you to stand out from your competition and allow fans to interact and promote your offering with their personal audience who may not know you.

You can also consider NFT (non-consumable tokens) to activate your offer. During my interview with Matt Sanders, or M. Shadows, lead singer of the heavy metal rock band Avenged Sevenfold, about their Nb Deathbats Club effort, he talked about the usefulness of NFTs and the solutions they present in different industries.

Your audience will enjoy these new ways to interact with your offering. By implementing these four easy-to-follow practices, your small business or personal offering will continue to evolve and stand out.
