The number of smart watches on the market is staggering. We’ve tried Tag Heuer, Citizen, Montblanc, Diesel and many other fashion brands, but most are just too expensive for what you get. (Not to mention that they are Wear OS watches that will not receive the latest version update). Here are some other options we like.
★ Casio PRT-B50 for $ 156: If you like the sound of the previous Casio PRW61 but hate the price, consider this model. You get many of the same benefits as a compass, an altimeter, and a barometer, but for much less. It is not made of biomass plastics, and has no solar charge, although its battery lasts two years. That does step tracking and can automatically adjust the time to anywhere in the world. You can place virtual bookmarks along your route that can be seen through the map in the add-on application (linked via Bluetooth) and it’s easy to go back with your watch. It comes in a size of 50.8 mm.
Gen 6 fossil for $ 299: Fossil’s latest flagship smartwatch is not as fast as the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra and has a dull design. Your battery doesn’t last that long, though you get a similar essential mode that ensures that the time is displayed even when the battery is exhausted (for a few days). However, the health monitoring features are quite accurate and it is expected to get Wear OS 3 this year. It comes in sizes of 44 or 42 mm. (It works almost exactly like the previous Skagen Falster Gen 6.)
Mobvoi TicWatch E3 for $ 200: The E3 has the same fast processor as the previous TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra, and will get the upgrade to Wear OS 3. It’s not that durable, it usually requires a morning recharge after sleep tracking (with the screen always on ). off), and the 44mm box size is still quite large. Its fitness tracking results were similar to the other watches I tested on the side, like the Galaxy Watch4. But my complaint is the quality of construction: it’s plastic, it feels cheap and it’s not very nice to look at.
