Amazon Prime Day is a two-day sales event where Prime subscribers can find hundreds of exclusive product deals available at the online retailer, though there are many other discounts for non-members. This year, Prime Day is scheduled for July 12 and 13, but you can already get great deals on some of our favorite things. From Amazon Fire-enabled TVs and speakers to third-party devices, here are some of our favorite Prime Day 2022 deals.

This is our favorite TV for most people (9/10, cable recommendations), and this is the lowest price we’ve ever tracked for the 55-inch model. It has a brightly colored quantum dot panel and uses local blackout areas for deeper blacks in your movies and shows. It has an integrated Roku interface and the Micro-LED backlight offers exceptional contrast. This offer is also available at Walmart.
This is one of the most beautiful TVs we have ever tried. The bezels are super thin, the OLED panel is great with deep blacks and rich colors, and it has an Android TV interface, which means you can also stream from your phone. It has weird feet at the ends, so it’s best to mount it on the wall unless you have a large TV stand.
This is a basic Hisense TV, but we like the brand and are confident in its build quality, unlike some of Amazon’s other generic TVs that we haven’t tested. Get support for a high dynamic range of Dolby Vision (read: more beautiful colors) and a built-in Fire TV to stream your favorite Amazon shows.
If you’ve been buying an oversized screen, this is one of the best discounts we’ve seen on a 75-inch model in months. Comes with Fire TV on board for easy streaming and Amazon shopping, plus full local regulation means black levels and highlights will look better than on cheaper screens.

We’re big fans of the Pixel 6 Pro (9/10, cable recommended), which takes great photos, especially with its 4X optical telephoto camera. It has a great 120 Hz OLED screen and is full of smart software features that make using this phone a joy. The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro could be up and running by the end of the year, but it’s still a good buy that will last you a while.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 (9/10, cable recommendations) is a great high-end Android phone. It excels in almost every category, and will even get longer Android version updates than the aforementioned Google Pixel (odd, considering Google maintains the Android operating system). The S22 is a nice size and this sale is in the version with 256 gigabytes of storage. If you want a bigger phone, the S22 Ultra is on sale for $ 1,000. It has a spectacular 10X optical zoom camera that lets you take sharp photos of distant objects.
The A53 5G (8/10, cable recommendations) has almost all the features most people need, such as 5G, NFC for contactless payments, more than a day of battery life, resistance to IP67 water and a MicroSD card slot. It then goes a step further with high-end benefits like a 120 Hz AMOLED display, four operating system upgrades, and 5 years of security upgrades. At this price, it has exceptional value.
WIRED Senior Associate Editor Adrienne So calls the Apple Watch SE (8/10, WIRED Recommends) the best Apple Watch for most people, making it a good time to get it with a discount. It doesn’t have all the health features of the high-end Apple Watch Series 7, but it has most of the ones that matter in everyday life. Read our Apple Watch guide for more details.
The M1 chip was a remarkable and quick departure from Apple’s long-standing Intel processors, allowing those of us who work on the move a little more power for photo editing, music production, and a million Chrome tabs. . A new MacBook Air is on its way next month (it will cost a bit more than the current version), but this 2020 model (9/10, cable recommendations) is still excellent.
The Pixelbook Go is getting a little old, but it’s still a great, luxurious laptop. It’s a Chromebook, so it’s just a great option for anyone who can work completely from the Chrome browser (although Android apps are available in the Google Play Store). Read our guide to the best Chromebooks for more details.
You’ll need to purchase the keyboard attachment to get the most out of this little Windows laptop (any Bluetooth keyboard will also work). The Surface Go 3 isn’t very powerful, but it’s good enough for simple tasks like browsing the web, sending emails, editing documents, and watching YouTube.
Amazon device deals
If you’re in a hurry, here are some solid discounts on hardware made by Amazon. However, it is important to know that these devices are likely to fall much more on Prime Day itself. Check out our guides to Amazon’s Best Smart Speaker, Best Smart Screen, and Best Play Stick for more information.
I love Echo Dots (8/10, cable recommendations) more than any other smart speaker. They’re small, sound great, and work perfectly for sleep sounds, timers, and a quick time check. On the last Prime Day, the price dropped to $ 25, so it’s worth the wait. Be sure to read our guide on making your Amazon Echo as private as possible.
Ever bothered to find this favorite show or movie? Amazon is probably your best bet because it has a lot of rental and purchase options (beyond the free Amazon Prime Video content). The included voice command makes navigation even easier. This device is likely to drop to $ 25 on Prime Day. Overall, we still like Roku and Google’s Chromecast With Google TV streaming device, so check out our full recommendations before committing to one.
This is the lowest price we’ve ever tracked for the Fire TV Cube. If you want to control your entire home theater system with your voice, the Fire TV cube is a good choice. Just connect all your players and gaming systems to your cube, and then use voice commands to turn things on and off. Although, as we see in our review, things are not always so elegant.
Echo Show 15 is a great way to put pictures of your loved ones on the wall, and Echo Show 5 is a great way to set timers, follow recipes, and check the weather. I like to use one in the living room on the wall and the other in my kitchen. Read our Best Smart Screen Guide for more options.
