It’s Champions Saturday.
Several majors men’s college basketball conferences, including the Great East, big 12 i Pac-12will crown their champions today, deciding a handful of automatic berths into the NCAA Tournament.
Before, however, the ten grand takes center stage with a pair of semifinal games, starting with the regular season champion Purdue against potential bid stealer Ohio State. The winner of that game will face the Indiana-Penn State winner in Sunday’s championship game.

Ohio State vs. Purdue (Big Ten)
First punch
Purdue took the lead in the opening minutes on a strong start by senior Zach Edey.
retaliation
Roddy Gayle Jr. tied it at 19-19 thanks to a cross-court layup by Isaac Likekele, who added another to the scoreboard to put the Buckeyes ahead.
Easy commute
Eugene Brown drove straight up the middle through traffic to hit that bucket, extending Ohio State’s lead to 23-19. The Buckeyes were shooting accurately from deep, while the Boilermakers struggled with turnovers.
Edey eats it up
Edey leads the Boilermakers back into the contest with 10 points and 2 assists, holding the Buckeyes scoreless for several minutes and closing in on their lead.
