Purdue lost to slightly above-average teams like Wisconsin and fell to Northwestern a few weeks ago. Before you look at Michigan’s fade after a win over Ohio State, as many did last year, remember that Michigan outscored Iowa 42-3 at this very spot in the 2021 season.
I hate to give a double-digit favorite in a neutral field, but the Boilermakers are not good. The Wolverines defense bottled up the Buckeyes in the second half and QB JJ McCarthy made all the plays needed to win by 23 on the road. McCarthy is attached as a game coach, but has been great at protecting the ball and coming out when the team needs it.
