Juventus consolidated second place in Serie A with a 2-0 win over relegation-threatened Cremonese on Sunday, but midfielder Paul Pogba left the pitch in tears after another injury.
Juventus moved three points clear of Inter Milan and moved eight points clear of fifth-placed AC Milan with three rounds remaining.
Cremonese were six points from safety.
Pogba was making his first start for Juventus since his return from Manchester United in the off-season but hobbled off the field in the 22nd minute to cheers from fans in the stadium.
Pogba fell to the ground clutching his left leg after kicking a ball with his other leg. He could be seen crying as he pulled his shirt over his face.
Pogba, 30, was making his first start since last April at Manchester United. Pogba has made just nine substitute appearances since returning to Juventus.
He is almost certain to be out of Juve’s Europa League semi-final second leg against Sevilla on Thursday. The first leg ended 1-1.
After Pogba’s departure, there were few chances before Nicolò Fagioli got on the scoreboard 15 minutes into the second half. Fagioli did not celebrate against his former team.
Bremer finished from around the second with 11 minutes to go.
