NCAA Tournament Projections: Tennessee moves up; Wisconsin, Kentucky on the bubble

Welcome to the top seed line, Tennessee.

After their eighth win in their last nine games, the Volunteers find themselves as the newly minted top seed in the FOX Sports prognosticator. Mike DeCourcyThe updated projections for the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, which were released on Friday. They join them Purdue, Houston i Alabama in line 1.

Jerome Tang’s Kansas State team, which appeared as the No. 1 seed in Tuesday’s tournament projections, fell to the No. 2 seed after an 80-76 loss at Iowa State. Joining K-State in line 2 is Arizona, Kansas i UCLA. The Wildcats have won three in a row, while the Jayhawks and Bruins are trying to end a midseason slump.

Zach Freemantle and the Xavier Musketeers continue to consolidate their leadership in the Great East standings, now 9-1 in conference play after an impressive 82-79 win over UConn on Wednesday night. Xavier came in as the third seed in DeCourcy’s latest projections, along with Iowa State, Virginia and Texas.

Gonzaga, Marquette, Baylor and TCU form the No. 4 seeds.

When it comes to conference representation, the ten grand leads the way with nine offers, followed by seven from the acc. The big 12 i SEC they have six teams represented. The Big East has five teams in DeCourcy’s latest projections, while the Pac-12 i West Mountain they have four teams represented. The WCC i american each has two.

Looking at teams on the bubble, DeCourcy has Wisconsin, Kentucky, Creighton i snowfall as the last four teams in, with Wake ForestTexas A&M, Utah and Penn State on the outside looking in.
