The SEC’s No. 1 South Carolina Gamecocks (21-0) travel to Hartford, Conn., to face the Big East’s No. 5 UConn Huskies (21-2) on Sunday as women’s college basketball takes center stage in FOX.

Setting the scene
The Huskies are led by forward Aaliyah Edwards, who was named a top 10 candidate for the 2023 Katrina McClain Award, a highly coveted annual award that recognizes the top forwards in DI women’s college basketball, earlier this week.
Heading into Sunday’s game, UConn has a league-leading field goal percentage of 52.1 percent and second-best 3-point percentage at 40.3 percent. The Huskies are averaging 80.2 points per game this season heading into Sunday’s tilt.
On the other hand, South Carolina is averaging 82.3 points per game, ninth best in the league, heading into Sunday’s action. The Gamecocks are also posting the 12th best shooting percentage at 47.1% so far this season.
