The Netherlands is one of 17 nations to have made the World Cup more than 10 times. Despite their rich history, the Dutch did not qualify for 2018. In 2014, the Netherlands lost in the semi-finals, and in 2010 the team finished as runners-up to Spain.
This year’s squad includes talented players such as Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong, considered one of the most complete midfielders in the world.
Ecuador failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup and will be looking to progress past the last 16 for the first time. Ecuador have made it past the group stage once, in 2006, before losing to England in the Round of 16.
